Okay well I am really not much of a political person and I do not fully understand what just happened with the Obamacare nonsense, but I knew that electing Obama into office was a bad idea from the start. What I am sharing today is a journal excerpt(unedited) that I wrote the day after Obama was elected and a quick note from my birthday(inauguration day). Mind you it's not very exciting, but it's what I have for you today.

Dear Diary,
Yesterday was the election for president and Barack Obama won the vote. The first African American president, but if McCain had won, Palin would have been the first woman vice president. Did they vote for change or just b/c he's the first African American to run? I know things are going to change, but some changes may be more than some are expecting. Being a Democrat pretty much equals change, but in 4 years remember the change we need may be to go back to the way some things were and you'll need a Republican to make those changes. Also, remember that Obama isn't technically president until my birthday. (They were partying pretty hard and they were keeping me up when I really needed to get sleep before classes the next day)

Dear Diary,
parts of the entry I am skipping...
Now I'm sitting and waiting for chem club to begin. Well at least a lot happens on my birthday. Of course which I'm talking about are the inauguration, congrats to Obama and the U.S.'s downfall, and penguin awareness day.
more stuff I am skipping

It's just weird to look at things now and to go back to when things first started to happen. I mean were things really that bad before Obama. I personally do not think so, but perhaps that's just from the way I grew up.
