I feel like I should address some things that have been on my mind. Has to do with my friends and some of the things that some of them have done for me. I feel like I kind of need to address some of the issues I have had dealing with this.
Alright to start off, I love free stuff. I really do. And I have had some friends send me stuff, mostly racing related. I won't list off names just because I don't think that would really be proper to do for a couple reasons, which I'm sure you're all smart enough to know. Now mind you I have a list, and I promise I will someday, somehow make it up to each of you. Now along with that, I have gotten some free tickets to go to some races recently with friends. The ones I am referring to are the past races of Chicagoland and Indy this year(and of course Chicagoland last year). Here's a couple things you should know about me and races now:
I still feel like I have obligations to the chat room. I don't know exactly why but I love the chat room and I kind of thrive on it really.
That being said, I will be on my phone a lot during the race. Doesn't mean I'm ignoring anyone I'm with specifically, it's just what I do, ask my mother from the race last year. Plus in case you haven't noticed, cars are loud and it's kind of hard to talk over them, so therefore text me. It's not rocket science here.
Also, I like to try to be places early, which means I will not be in charge of transporting others to the race and back to where they are staying or live unless I really know the other person or if we have a specific plan.
Now this is if we're going to races on two days. If for some reason you cannot make it to the race the first day, for whatever reason, and you stay up all night disappointed that you didn't go to the race, do not blame me. I didn't force you to stay up. And then if the next race day you don't show up until the race starts, which again cars are loud so it's hard to hear, and you're in and out of sleep the whole time that you're there, and you leave early because you're tired, don't blame me. It's not my fault. And I'm not ignoring you specifically. Trying not to interrupt your sleep, I'm in the chat room, trying to enjoy the race, take pictures(don't want to get in trouble for not getting those, yikes). You're more then welcome to hop in the chat room as well or send me a quick text, hand signals, whatever.
Okay I think I'm done ranting about that. I hope this doesn't discourage others from inviting me to races, because I love me some racing. On that note, I would like to ask if people could please stop asking me if I am going to the race in Chicagoland again this year. I am not, unless a miracle happens.....but I am not holding my breath. It just kind of hurts me every time someone asks because I'm not going and I would really love to. The reason I say it hurts is because it was so very awesome last year(there are a few things I didn't share that made it extra awesome) and it sucks not being able to do that again, but I'm sure most of you could figure that out, but I thought I should clarify just in case that was confusing.
Alright, I'll stop talking now. If anyone has any thoughts or questions about what I've said, post a comment or send me a quick email. :)
